Happy March everyone! I have just recently returned from the American Birkiebeiner races. The winter started out a little sketchy in the Midwest, but February was amazing and plenty of snow fell and the courses were well covered! The World Championships also just ended in Seefeld and the US squad delivered some solid results!
With these major events coming and going, many of us will want to look to warmer thoughts and the end of an awesome season here at Snow Mountain Ranch. WAIT a minute! The best snow, the warmest temps, and the longest days are ahead for what is always the best skiing of the season! In November and December, we are scrambling and traveling to find the best snow in North America to get an early start. We typically spend and travel the most during the coldest, darkest, and poorest conditions of the year and then when it gets to be the best conditions, we put our skis away for the season. So, before you storage wax those boards for the summer, take a look at what you are missing. Wax those boards up a little warmer and watch the forecasts for those sunny, warmer days. Hit the trails early on those days! You won’t regret it and you probably will have your most enjoyable ski of the season!
Thanks for an amazing season here at Snow Mountain Ranch, and enjoy the last months of the season that are left! We are hosting two days of racing this weekend with the 35th running of the Stampede Races. Two weeks from now is our last event of the season with our Spring Festival. Demos and some awesome skiing will help us say our final goodbyes to the season will highlight the weekend! Enjoy!!
