Family Yoga Weekend, September 14 – 16, 2018
Family Yoga Weekend kicks off this season of fun fall events on the weekend of Friday, Sept. 14 and runs through Sunday, Sept. 16. Family Yoga Weekend will consist of much more than just child’s pose and downward dog— while classes will be offered for different skill levels and focuses, there will also be sessions regarding nutrition and mental and emotional practices to assure a healthy mind, body and spirit for yourself, your family and those around you. Midweek Adult-Focused Special Programming
Rocky Mountain National Park in the Fall
From September 18-20.our knowledgeable hikemasters will lead interpretative hikes into the national park with a “focus” on nature photography. Evening sessions will be offered to learn more about the flora & fauna of the park as well as photographic techniques. Extend your stay through the weekend to take part in the Town of Estes Park’s annual Elkfest!
Rocky Mountain Adventure Package
From September 25-27, challenge your adventurous side in our Rocky Mountain playground! Learn basic rock-climbing techniques and scale our indoor climbing wall as well as take a hike in Rocky Mountain National Park with our knowledgeable hikemasters. All activities will be led by our trained Adventure Activities Staff and will be geared to the ability levels of our participants.
Packages includes two night’s lodging, meals and all package-related program activities. Registration information coming soon!
When you’re not in scheduled activities, you’ll have opportunities to enjoy other Estes Park Center activities such as our craft & design center, the Boone Family Mountain Center and our indoor pool.
Fall Fest, Saturdays from Sept. 22 – Oct. 6
Fall Fest is another great activity offered at the YMCA and runs every Saturday from Sept. 22 through Oct. 6. Fall Fest is a great time for families to come out and enjoy everything the season has to offer. From pumpkin paintings to making gooey s’mores and more, Fall Fest is sure to warm families’ hearts during this chilly time of year.
Halloween Spooktacular, Saturday October 27th
Fall certainly is a “boo-tiful” time of year, and there’s no better way to spend it than at YMCA of the Rockies. On Saturday, Oct. 27, the YMCA will be hosting its Halloween Spooktacular featuring everything from a costume party to trick-or-treating around the YMCA property, making sure families won’t be scared when looking for fun activities to participate in.
Thanksgiving Activities & Turkey Trot 5K
Need to burn off all that Halloween candy? You’re in luck! The 11th annual Turkey Trot 5k and Fun Run/Walk will kick off on Thanksgiving morning at 8 a.m. Dogs are welcome, and donations will be accepted to help support our summer day camp scholarship. Stay with us for the weekend and enjoy the Thanksgiving activities running from Nov. 21-23 including s’mores making over a campfire and much more!
