The benefits of hiking go far beyond the good vistas of Rocky Mountain National Park. Hiking in a scenic environment does wonders for your physical and mental health, reducing stress and anxiety levels, as well as blood pressure and cholesterol. In addition, research shows that people who spend more time in nature are 50 percent more creative than those glued to their computers and smartphones. Simply being out in nature, away from our to-do lists and social media temptations, brings a much needed sense of well-being and peace to all the different adversities we face every day.
