Lisa Holmes recently visited Snow Mountain Ranch with her daughters. The girls came up with a list of the “Top 10 Things to do at Snow Mountain Ranch.”
# 10 – Square Dancing. “Bow to Your Partner and Promenade. Do-si-do and Away We Go!” It’s fun to learn new dance steps and laugh at the grow ups!
#9 – Learning about Beavers. At Snow Mountain Ranch you get to see actual Beaver lodges and get close to some real Dams. Favorite fact – Beavers have no natural predators.
#8 – Hanging at the Cabin. The cabins were so fun. We loved playing board games in front of the fireplace at night and the bunk beds are awesome.
#7 – Visiting the Rowley Homestead. It was cool to see how people lived 100 years ago. There was even a rocking chair made out of a log.
#6 – Going on a Moose Hunt. Snow Mountain Ranch has lots of animals around. We saw a bunch of deer and a fox. We wanted to find a moose too, so we hunted all around. Maybe we’ll see them next time.
#5 – Hayride with Tom and Huck. The horses were huge. We loved going on a hayride and then stopping for hot chocolate. Our favorite part was feeding marshmallows to the horses!
#4 – Exploring a Gold Mine. We found a secret gold mine that took 7 years to dig. It was dark and scary, but we made it all the way to the end!
#3 – Playing Putt Putt Golf in Your PJs. After a full day of fun we went back and changed into our pajamas, but then headed out to play miniature golf at night under the lights. It was epic.
#2 – Summer Tubing. Who knew you could go tubing in the summer? It was just like real tubing but better because it wasn’t cold outside. Make sure to ask them to “spin” you!
