This is the fourth year of the YMCA’s TREK program, and we are excited to announce some additions to the successful gap-year alternative. Life is a journey, and for those who are seeking guidance along the way, the 8-month gap year program is a perfect alternative. TREK helps prepare for a meaningful, faith-driven future by helping answer the three questions: “What am I here for?”, “What is my purpose in life?”, and “What am I supposed to do next?”
Not only does TREK prepare participants for their future, it broadens horizons with travel opportunities and outreach.
This year, the Trek program will include three scheduled trips to New York City, Washington DC and an urban mission trip to Denver at the end of the term.
Participants will gain a biblical, personal and relational foundation for life and leadership, develop of a personal foundation for life, as well as gainful employment for eight months, lifelong friendships, and mountain recreation.
