Outdoor Education Instructors Needed!

YMCA of the Rockies, Estes Park Center is looking for a great crew of Outdoor Education Staff.   Easy year-round access to Rocky Mountain National Park and close proximity to Front Range communities, combined with talented, highly trained staff make our Outdoor Education Program one of the best in the state! Outdoor Education at YMCA of the Rockies averages more than 7,000 students and 100 schools per year!

 Teach

Our program blends scientific inquiry with hands-on exploration while meeting Colorado state standards.  Classroom content is designed for 5th-8th grade level.  We are also able to modify our classes for kindergarten through 12th grade.  At YMCA of the Rockies, students are able to see the effects of active beaver colonies, the changing montane forest, perform scientific studies of waterways, work together to build teamwork, observe stars in a planetarium,  learn songs around a campfire and so much more!  We invite you to join us for a fun-filled outdoor educational experience!

Our program goals for staff are:

  • To provide a positive work environment which incorporates safety, trust, respect, and diversity for all staff members.
  • To deliver programs of the highest quality by providing a work force that is highly competent and demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills.
  • To provide interdisciplinary curriculum based classes that meet the Colorado State Standards.
