Let’s face it: family vacations are awesome, but sometimes parents need an evening to themselves. To help parents and kids get the most out of their summer evenings, we are offering Evening Camp on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the summer months for kids ages 3-10 years old. The cost is $15 per child, which covers activities such as camp games, crafts, mini-golf and special programs and performances.

Woman’s Day is running a contest to win a four-day, three-night stay in a three-bedroom cabin at Snow Mountain Ranch! Our three-bedroom cabins sleep up to seven people and include a fireplace and a fully-equipped kitchen. The Snow Mountain Ranch Craft Shop is finally done being renovated and fully ready for you this year with a relaxing atmosphere. The view of the Rocky Mountains from our windows can’t be beat! Easter crafts are now available; projects include bunnies, baskets, eggs and crosses. Glass fusion classes are held daily, along with one-on-one pottery wheel classes (available through March 17th) with Chris Rodriguez. Our Artist-in-Residence is potter Kate Bartlett from Minnesota, who will be here on Saturdays in February to create beautiful, unique pottery pieces.

Fab Over Fifty wants you to experience Women’s Fitness Camp at Camp Chief Ouray this coming August. To enter, click here and answer the question, “Did you go to summer camp?”
Women’s Fitness Camp takes place from August 17th-22nd and costs $410 for YMCA members and $430 for non-YMCA members (seniors 65 and older: $385). The fee includes all meals, snacks, a camp t-shirt, lodging and all camp activities. Horseback riding, rafting and the ropes course is available for an additional cost.

Our partner, Project Sanctuary, has been named a finalist in the Joining Forces Community Challenge. The Joining Forces Community Challenge is a White House initiative started by First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden with the purpose of recognizing organizations that are of service to military families. Project Sanctuary is competing with 19 other organizations for the honor of being profiled on the website Champions of Change and recognized by the First Lady and Dr. Biden at an event in Washington, D.C. in early 2012.
